Testimonials
Through her work in the NHS mental health system, Nic has a history of promoting people’s right to wellbeing and holistic healthcare. Her current campaign looks to bring her the access to integrative cancer care that she needs, while continuing to support a change of system for all. Accessing a personalised vaccine would give her the chance to add to research for her rare type of cancer, and allow her to show what self advocacy can achieve. Time to let her shine!

Nicola is one of my oldest and dearest friends. I have so many fond memories of growing up together: playing games of make-believe in the playground at primary school, holidaying in the north with each other’s families, and talking nonsense until 3am at our teenage sleepovers. As well as loving her sense of humour, I have always cherished her for her compassion for those in need and her irrepressible drive to make the world a better place. The way she has dealt with her cancer diagnosis, with resilience and grace, has made me admire her even more. After giving so much to the people around her, I believe it is now Nic’s turn to get a little help. Please donate if you can.

Nicola and I have been friends for over 25 years, brought together by our silly sense of humour and our desire to have some fun. I have recently been part of the FUN-draising team and indeed played the role of DJ Ray Von in our Phoenix Nights themed event, which was hugely enjoyable. Nicola has always loved the outdoors, nature and the simpler things in life, enjoying a good catch up over a coffee or visit to the local charity shop.
It is wonderful to see how close Nicola is with her daughter Tilly, and I strive to have a similar relationship with my son. They clearly have an open and honest relationship, with shared interests in music, politics and adventure. We enjoyed a trip to Whitby together recently, much laughter and nonsense was enjoyed.
I wish Nicola all the very best in her fundraising ventures, and will continue to play my part in the events her friends organise.

I have known Nic since we were at school together, where we bonded over squash at Horwich Leisure Centre!
I have been privileged to know Nic since then, and to see her bringing up her daughter, Tilly.
Nicola has always been passionate about the causes that she believes in. She is now using all of her strength and determination in facing her own health challenges.
Nic’s drive to find a solution to a rarer form of kidney cancer will help her and future generations who face the same situation. This is truly inspiring.
Please support Nic to make the next steps by donating towards her Coast to Coast walk, in order to fund her cancer vaccine.Sarah Hadfield

Since Nic has received her cancer diagnosis, I’ve been blown away by her determination to make major lifestyle changes and tenacity when striving to find a treatment plan to make a life worth living.
Nic showed her commitment to supporting others in the same predicament as her when she rallied the troops to walk the 3 Yorkshire Peaks, fundraising for ‘Yes to Life’ an integrative cancer care charity in September 2024. I felt honoured to walk alongside her for a much needed cause, in helping people by taking a holistic approach.
When Nic received her stage 4 diagnosis, her fighting spirit was awe-inspiring despite many obstacles faced especially from a medical perspective. Nic had no choice but to take matters in to her own hands by tirelessly raising money to fund her own treatment. Let me tell you, this woman has the knowledge of a top oncologist after all the research she has completed! But most importantly she still has room to have empathy for others, reaching out and making strong connections with those who have lived experience of stage 4 cancer.
I love you Nic and really hope you can raise the funds you need to buy a bespoke cancer vaccination you deserve!! xx
